Gene McDaniels RIP.
On July 29 2011 singer and composer Gene McDaniels passed away. He wrote many hit tunes including "Compared To What", "One Hundred Pounds Of Clay" and many others. Check him out on Bobby Hutcherson's magnificent album for Blue Note called "NOW!"
