Charlie Haden on the A-Trane
I'll be interviewing Charlie Haden at about 3PM on the A-Trane this Friday (Oct 2nd, 2009) in advance of his upcoming visit to the Vancouver International Film Festival.
The recent documentary Charlie Haden: Rambling Boy will be featured at this year's Vancouver International Film Festival (see http://www.viff.org/tixSYS/2009/xslg...entNumber=2657 and http://charliehadenfilm.com/home.html for more details) with screenings at: Thu, Oct 8th 11:00am Thu, Oct 15th 6:30pm (Charlie Haden in attendance) Fri, Oct 16th 1:15pm (Charlie Haden in attendance) The film is a truly remarkable musical journey by a truly remarkable musician. I'll also be featuring some music associated with the subject of another 2009 VIFF film The Jazz Baroness, The Baroness Pannonica Rothschild de Koenigswarter also known in many jazz compositions as Nica .... N
