Nothin' But Swing - Death by Dixie (Victoria, July 4)

On Saturday, July 4th, the Swing Dance Association of Victoria invites everyone to a special live band night at Nothin' But Swing. Red Hot Swing will teach a beginner dance lesson from 8:30pm to 9:15pm (no partner and no previous dance experience necessary). Afterwards, Death by Dixie (five outstanding Jazz musicians) will provide musical delight well into the midnight hour.

Death by Dixie are:

• Charles Gates - Drums
• Clark Brendon - Bass and Banjo
• Tom Vickery - Piano
• Tom Ackerman - Clarinet and Sax
• Bob Cadwallader - Trombone

Time and Place:

• 8:30pm to 12:30am
• Saint John's Hall, 925 Balmoral Rd., Victoria (near Quadra and Fisgard)

Price:

• $13 for adults
• $12 for Red Hot Swing members
• $10 for students and children

Dress is casual, but don't be surprised to see people styled in 1920s and 1930s era garb.
