Poetry and Jazz on Artisan Radio

The second program of poetry and jazz is the feature on the Gregg Simpson Jazz Hour this coming Thursday at 4pm. It is timed to coincide with the Write On Bowen Festival to be held here on July 11-13.

Featured are the Kenneth Patchen/Al Neil LP from 1959; The Snedenko Collage and Laughing by the Al Neil Trio in 1967; Jamie Reid reading from his book, Pres with the Henry Boudin Trio at the Malcolm Lowry Room, 1992; Marilyn Boyle with Paul Cram's Cargo Culture in Toronto, 1983; Al O'Connor with the New Orchestra Quintet in 1978; Gerry Gilbert with the Paul Plimley Trio at Artropolis, 1987; concrete poet, david uu and Gregg Simpson duet, 1972; and fresh from the Collage performance at this year's jazz festival, poet and singer, Viviene Houle with her new CD, Existential Angst Party.
