The Mentoring Brad Turner
Jammed with Brad Turner last night at the Heritage Grill in New West. (Next Thursday will be the last of the weekly series until who knows when). The place was full of young Cap College students and one septuagenerian. (That'd be me). Brad slipped quietly in the door, took out his horn, and joined us. Marvellous bebop soloing. It's fantastic that guys of Brad's stature are willing to give of their time to mentor and role model.
I should of course mention that this jam wouldn't have happened at all were it not for the dedication and energy of two Cap faculty members - Darren Radtke and Chris Sigerson. |
