Mingus Big Band

I just heard today that the Mingus Big Band is going to be playing at the Chan Center on Oct. 4th

The Chan has already brought in the Basie Band, The Bill Holman Band, Chucho Valdez, and the Dizzy Alumni Band so hopefully they will keep bringing acts like this in.

Of course all the promo stuff has a big picture of Seamus on it!

The fact that in nearly a month only 77 people have viewed this thread is almost enough to discourage me from reviving my "Mingusmania" project.

There is a direct connection between how many posts there are on a thread and how many people view it. What exactally counts as a "view" Does the system only count static IP's? Anyways it is a moot point. I have a feeling that that show won't be attened to well. When the Bill Holman Band came 3 years ago (or was it 4) the Chan Center was barely half full if that. Plus a lot of people left the show unhappy with what one guy called "chinese music" That was one helluva show.
