Hi,

I am promoting an event of interest to the music community. It's called Executives on Auction, and it's all about creating great connections and opportunities ---- that otherwise not exist.

Terry McBride, is on auction. He's the Manager of Avril Lavigne, Dido, Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLauglan --- and the master of music marketing and promotion ---- I'm sure someone in your network would want to connect with him, for hours of quality time.

All you have to do is bid online ---- no credit card required ---- and we'll take care of the rest.

You will meet for quality time with Terry, at one of our donated venues, at a mutually convenient time. An added bonus, is that 100% of the highest bid goes directly to your Exec's favourite charity ---- (Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach Program). And, all of the highest bidders will be invited to the next Post-Auction Benefit Lunch --- where you will meet Executives, Sponsors, Charities and Special Guests!)

The auction ends on May 8.

Logon to: http://www.executivesonauction.com , click on Vancouver's Auction, and on the Executive you want to meet.

Please join us in this great networking event ---- and supporting charity!

Cheers,

Randy

P.S. Please feel free to forward this message

Terry is not interested in Jazz. He will tell you he dosen't know much about Jazz and he considers it kind of a Mom and Pop thing as far as selling it is concerned.

Hi,

In response to Joani's note, I appreciate your candor.

However, I gather there are similarities in the music business, and in marketing oneself, to a wider audience. It is my understanding that he has excelled in 'micro-marketing' --- building momentum for a specific artist, in key regional markets --- until a 'tipping point' is achieved, and the individual / band has much wider appeal, and success. The lessons gleaned from this, should be of interest to those who don't have a fortune to spend on marketing.

I consider these lessons to be of value, whether or not one is in the music business. Software companies, for example, must endure difficult periods of tough slogging, without funds. Entry to the US, or other locations, can cost millions --- and wouldn't it be interesting to hear about how one might adopt those lessons, to a different area? There are many examples of situations where, one field draws on another for inspiration (i.e. Business looking to SunTzu's - The Art of War).

My motivation for posting it on the list, was to spread the word, about an unusual opportunity, of access. And, to raise funds and awareness of a neat charity. Hopefully, people within the community have seen it, and mentioned it to others who see this as an interesting opportunity.

If there is someone in the music community, whom you believe would be beneficial to have 'on auction', then by all means, pls. let me know. There will be another auction later this year, in Vancouver, and I think it's important that the music / entertainment community is represented.

Cheers,

Randy
