The topic of the Old Roller Rink Club in North Vancouver may have been covered before, but can anyone refresh me on just who played there. I was telling a musician about it who hadn't heard of the place.
I saw Dave Liebman one night and I know Mingus was there, but I was out of town for that one.
Anyone have an idea who else played there?

Dave Liebman and Pee Wee Ellis played there. Great players ..Liebman was in his "funk bag" for this gig. Funky tenor madness!
Mingus, of course with Jack Walrath, Ricky Ford, Bob Neloms (piano) and Dannie.
Captain Beefheart...that was incredible!
Brian Auger and the Trinity. That was fun I was the 'warm-up' act. Later for the second set, Brian, his drummer and bassist replaced my guys and gave me some super backing. That was a kick!
I can't remember much else but it was a great venue and was too good too last....an old story.

Thanks, Gavin...I thought you'd know the line up there. Beefheart too! Amazing. I knew there was someone else quite well known and I guess it was the Captain. Would have liked to caught that one.
