Jazz returns to the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna tonight, February 28th at 7 pm with Cathy-Ann Wells backed by the Just in Time Jazz trio.
On March 8th, Saturday, jazz standards by great local musicians Larry Crawford, woodwinds; Neville Bowman, piano and vocals, and Cameron Ward on electric and double bass at 8 pm at Costello's on Abbott, 1675 Abbott St., Kelowna
On Friday April 4th, Okanagan residents, band students, and teachers from across the province can hear great jazz at the Interior Jazz Festival Jazz Masters Concert 7:30 pm at the Kelowna Community Theatre with vocalist Carol Weisman, Gordon Foote and Greg Yasinitsky on sax, Dennis Esson trombonist, and Cameron Ward electric and double bass. Tickets go fast, are $15 and can be purchased at Communitix 250-763-1849, Kelowna.
On Sunday , April 20th the Mike Allen trio will be at Bunches Bistro 111-1889 Springfield. Tickets to hear Mike Allen on sax, Paul Rushka on bass and Julian MacDonough on drums are $10 advance or $12 at the door. call 250-860-8880, Kelowna.
Chris Tarry " one of Canada's best known jazz bassists, will be touring the valley with Brad "the wonder" Turner, and Bernie Arai, a phenomenal drummer. The Okanagan Jazz and Blues Society hosts the trio April 26th at Okanagan University College's campus on KLO road. 7:30 tickets at door or advance Paramount Music, Kelowna.
Up the valley, in Kamloops on Thursday, April 24th The Christ Tarry trio appears at the Kamloops Jazz and Blues Society, tickets at SaHali Ticket Centre
