"Vancouver singer Melody Diachun (say DAY-shun) is well-named. She not only sings like a bird, she's rare among jazz singers in that she writes a lot of her own songs. She started playing piano at age 6, and gave her first concert a year later. In high school she played electric bass and French horn. And in the mid-1990s she went to New York City to study with Sheila Jordan. Melody joins us for a Hot Air studio session and a conversation about her music."
with:
Cory Weeds | soprano sax
Tilden Webb | fender rhodes
Doug Stephenson | electric bass/compositions
Dan Gaucher | drums
