On the Gregg Simpson Jazz Hour next Tuesday we'll feature recordings I made as a guest of Michael Snow and the CCMC (Canadian Creative Music Collective) in 1981 at the Music Gallery.
The other drummer is John Kamevaar and in addition to Michael Smow's piano and trumpet work, we have Casey Sokol on piano and electronics, Al Mattes on bass, Nobuo Kubota on alto sax, electronics and everybody on percussion and gongs.

Hey Gregg, a big article in the TC today asking for people to go on a cruise to the Artic Ocean to find the passage to the "inner earth". Only $20,000 US gets you on the Russian Icebreaker this summer!!!
You were right all along!!

Hey James...we have to stay in touch better. Yes, the hollow earth cruise sounds enchanting! Apparently the UFOs and the Atlanteans are all alive and well in there.
I will be playing your composition Dwee Da Da on the program a week from this Friday along with two other cuts from the quartet with you, Paul Cram, Robert Leriche and I. Ah, 1984!
Check it out at 4pm Friday on www.artisanradio.com
Dizzy Gillespie is the featured artist this week on the Gregg Simpson Jazz Hour. Don't miss it.
