Hey folks. I will be giving a full sneak peak at the brand new release on Justin Time Records "Fraser MacPherson Quintet - Our Blues" on Chasin The Train this Monday (the 21st) on 102.7 CFRO from 11:00 am to Noon.

The new CD features Chris Gage on piano, Carse Sneddon on trumpet and valve trombone, Stan Johnson on bass and Jimmy Wightman on drums. Its from a CBC radio broadcast on July 26th, 1962 and January 31st, 1963. Awesome stuff.

The CD doesn't hit stores until May 29th!

That's great, Cory! I will look forward to this CD and to hearing you on CFRO. I actually 'played' with Chris Gage at a private party in about 1961 when I was about 14. I thinkI used brushes on a magazine cover. Also present were Lance Harrison and Barney Potts.

Seems everything old is new again...like Harold Land at the Cellar (1958) that you told me is out now on Lonetree. I am really happy that sending those CD's of that gig to Harold back in 2001 has led to their being released.
