Outside Canadian orchestras are on the Gregg Simpson Jazz Hour next week: C.O.R.D. N.O.W. and the P.C.O. are the acronyms involved.
C.O.R.D. was short for Community Orchestra Research and Development. It was the original New Orchestra Workshop large ensemble and performed with Karl Berger and Gunter Christman among others. It's later incarnation, the NOW Orchestra, is represented by the CD, Le Tour du Bloc,with René Lussier and the Paul Cram Orchestra plays a work from their latest CD, Live in Lisbon.
