The Gregg Simpson Jazz Hour will feature a tribute to the great drummer, Philly Joe Jones, including rare recordings made with Harold Land at the Penthouse in Seattle in 1965, a 1969 appearance at the Pescara Jazz Festival in Italy, featuring Dizzy Reece and at the American Jazz Radio Festival with his quartet including Charles Davis and Walter Davis Jr.
