I just got a copy of Dave Robbins' brand new CD "On The Mark." I have been listening to it non stop. Most of the tunes are Dave's and they sound great. The playing is fabulous with spirited solos coming from Brad Turner on trumpet, Mike Allen on tenor saxophone, Dennis Esson on trombone, Miles Black on piano, Andre Lachance on bass and of course Dave Robbins on drums. Its yet another reminder of how much wonderful talent there is here in this city. Way to go Dave!

I second that! I just got a copy and it's sounds beautiful. The writing is superb and everyone plays their butts off. I highly recommend it if you haven't heard it yet.

Does anyone know where I can buy this CD? Or is it not released yet? Is it a Cellar Live release, Cory?

I phoned A&B Sound and the Magic Flute, but neither have it or know how to get it. I also checked Dave Robbins out on the Musicians page at vancouverJazz.com, but there's no contact info.

bverkerk, thanks for your interest. I'm hoping to get the CD into both A+B and the Magic Flute today (and having you go in there before hand requesting it is certainly going to help- thankyou). The CD's will also be available at the Cellar and hopefully online from daverobbins.com, soon.

thankyou Cory and Ken as well!
