Hey Soul Brothers and Sisters...
The word on the street is that there's a new show on Cambridge University
Radio: 'The Soul-Jazz Experiment' - an hour of the grooviest music spanning
the spectrum of Soul, Jazz and World Music, and including special guest
artists. Afro not included.
The playlist includes the usual suspects: Herbie Hancock, Leon Thomas, Sun Ra Arkestra,
Freddie Hubbard, Coltrane, Yusef Lateef, Charles Mingus, Gil Scott-Heron, Parliament and funk rarities.
"How do I get to listen to these cool vibes and funky riffs?" I hear you
ask!
1. Tune into 1350MW on your radio every Thursday evening from 11pm (I've
been told this is a primetime slot for a specialist music show, and
definately not the graveyard slot...)
2. Can't get it on the radio? Then log on to www.cur1350.co.uk at the same
time where you can stream the show live, stare at people on the studio
webcam, and email your comments to the show!
3. And for those of you who are at the pub/in another time zone/wrapped up
safely in bed you can use the 'Listen Again' Archive to listen to any SHOW,
any TIME, any WHERE (with an internet connection). So no excuse really!
Happy listening,
Dan
